Don and Sandy Godwin are serving the Lord as FMI missionaries to Mexico’s northern Baja region.
The Godwins deployed to Mexico in July 2008 to serve as Foursquare missionaries in Rosarito, Mexico. In their first month, they planted “Hope Chapel Rosarito,” a church fellowship with an English-speaking as well as a Spanish-speaking congregation.
The English-speaking congregation in Rosarito ministers to not only American and Canadian expats, but also to a large and rapidly growing number of deported Mexicans. Most of these have lived for many years in the U.S. and as such are separated from children and other family left behind.
Under the Godwins’ leadership, Hope Chapel Rosarito is becoming a multi-faceted ministry that meets this incredible need. At the same time, the Spanish-speaking congregation is providing a strong witness for the native population residing in a community south of Rosarito known as Vista Marina.
Sandy – September 22
Don – June 26
Pray for the development of our leaders and workers in both congregations; pray for the resources to minister adequately not just in our church services, but also in the many outreaches we do each year and through ministries of helps.
